WEEKLY GATHERINGS

Worship in community is a beautiful expression of the local church. We gather together weekly around the Word of God, collective worship and celebration, prayer and communion. We sing songs. We study the story of Jesus. We celebrate good stories. We pray for each other. We share in the Lord’s Supper. We laugh together. We have really good snacks.

WE’RE SAVING A SEAT FOR YOU!
Our service includes an engaging message from the Bible, along with worship through singing together, prayer, and communion. You don’t need to know all the words, or dress a certain way. We want you to come as you are to experience who God is and what He’s done.

When you arrive, you’ll be warmly greeted by a friendly face who is happy to help you any way they can. You can find helpful info cards placed in the pews to learn more about us.

For families with young children, we have a multi room environment with a nursery for infants and classes for kids. Your child or children are welcome to join us for worship or to hang out in our classroom and nursery.

Our hope is that each Sunday will provide an atmosphere where you can be creatively engaged in responding to God’s love and grace in worship and community. We do all of these things to experience the Gospel together in community and celebrate the God who loves us.

Worship is what we were made for.

WHAT WE DO

Our gatherings are shaped around four simple rhythms each week:

CALL
We open our services by reading a Psalm together and singing songs as a congregation.

WORD
We read and teach Scripture through the lens of the Gospel message of Jesus.

RESPONSE
We follow the sermon by inviting us to share in a worshipful response to hearing God’s Word through song, prayer, and communion.

BLESSING
We close every gathering by sending us out with the peace of God to be the peace of God to our community.

Music

Music is a key aspect of our worship on Sundays. Our music team leads us in songs, old and new, that resonate with who we are as a local church. We are moved to make joyful noise out of our affection for God. We sing songs as a body in response to the goodness and faithfulness of God in our lives.

We’ve created a Spotify playlist called Centerpoint Hymnal to help you become familiar with the songs we sing on Sundays.

If you’ve become part of our congregation and are interested in serving with our worship band, we’d like to hear from you.

WE ARE A CHURCH IN THE HEART OF OUR TOWN FOR THE GOOD OF OUR TOWN.

Prayer is the primary work of God’s people.

We believe that prayer is the foundation for action, so we’re constantly asking God to bring his kingdom to Wethersfield as it is in Heaven. We want to be a people who believe in the power of prayer and learn to live by faith.

Prayer Requests?

We would love to pray for you!

We have a team of people who are committed to praying for you 24/7. All prayer requests are kept confidential to the prayer team.

Serve Our Town & Community

We believe that the church should not be contained by the building that it worships in each week. Instead, we want to be active in our community loving our neighbors for the good of our town and the glory of Jesus.

We would love to partner with you!

Centerpoint is always looking for opportunities to come along side other local organizations and businesses entities in order to meet the needs of our community. Please let us if you have an idea on how we can partner with you.

We would love to serve with you!

If you live in our community and have a need that you think that we could help you with please don’t hesitate to call us. No you don’t have to attend our church for us to care about you.

You Matter to God. You matter to us.

NEXT STEPS

Want to be part of our family? Here are a few simple steps to help you get connected to Centerpoint Community Church.

STEP ONE

LEARN MORE

Snacks and Coffee

Stick around after the service for snacks and an opportunity to get to know our church. You’ll be able to meet the leadership, learn about our church community and have the opportunity to ask questions. Did we mention free snacks and coffee?

STEP TWO

GET CONNECTED

SMALL GROUPS

Small groups are smaller gatherings of the church in places throughout the week across the Wethersfield area to be the church beyond Sundays. If you’re looking for deeper connection and a healthy environment for discipleship, join a small group!

STEP THREE

FIND YOUR MINISTRY

SERVE

The Church is a potluck, not a buffet. Scripture tells us that the Church is at it’s best when every part of the body of Christ is doing its part (Ephesians 4). We want to help you find your place in ministry so you can bring your best to the table and share with our church and city.

STEP FOUR

JOIN THE FAMILY

MEMBERSHIP

The church is not a place or a service, but a people who have been transformed by Jesus Christ into a new community who share and live the Gospel. Membership with a local church is an important, biblical part of Christian life that helps shape the health of the local body of Christ.

Baptism

Baptism is a visible symbol of the invisible grace of Jesus Christ. We celebrate water baptism as a sign of the commitment between God and the believer. Along with the Lord’s Supper (communion), baptism is a sacrament of faith prescribed by Jesus for the Christian believer.

COVENANT MEMBERSHIP

The local church isn’t a place to go or a service to attend, but a people committed to following Jesus together. We express our commitment to Jesus and one another through covenant membership. The first step in becoming a member is attending a Foundations Class. Foundations is a one-time meeting where we share a meal and learn what it means to be part of our local body of Christ.

Our Mission

CenterPoint’s mission is to help you know Jesus Christ personally, experience His love and the love of His people, and to live out your faith everyday.

Our Vision

CenterPoint’s vision is a community of people where Jesus Christ is the center of their lives.

Our Values

We believe that the Bible is our foundation (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Pet 1:21)

We believe that God desires a personal relationship with each of us (Jn 3:16; 1 Jn 4:10; Acts 17:27; Jer 9:23-24)

We believe that faith grows best in the context of relationships (Prov 13:20; Heb 10:23-25)

We believe that the expressions of our faith should make a difference in our community (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Matt 5:14-16; Ja 2:14-17)

We believe we are all called to serve (Mk 10:45; Eph 2:10; Eph 4:11-13; Matt 20:25-28)
